BRIDGE BUILDERS UPDATE 4-13-10
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your support and prayers we also appreciate some of your updates on what is happening in your lives.
Dr Comfort of Chesapeake Bible College, Md.
We just heard some sad news that Dr Comfort who I have known as a good friend since the mid seventies has bone cancer. It was diagnosed 4 months ago. Dr Comfort pioneered a Church and 12 grade Christian school on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Is President of Chesapeake Bible School which is a vision he has had to make Bible and Ministry courses available to Churches, I introduced him to the Hopewell Churches when pasturing in Elverson. He and his wife Shirley are in a health Centre in West Palm Beach, Florida for treatment. He has been a close loyal friend over the years.
Haiti, Pastor Lesley Bertrand.
We are in touch with Lesley, though Church buildings were damaged in the earthquake they had no loss of life. Lesley has an orphanage and 24 churches in Haiti. We met in Miami in the mid nineties. Tentatively planning to visit him the end of November. Kingsway were able to send a gift to help him feed his people, repair buildings and resource his pastors.
We are busy at Kingsway working with young leaders, helping with future vision and planning outreach events. Also meeting monthly with other pastors on Merseyside. Easter was a special time, preached on Resurrection Faith. Paul has an emphasis that it is the power of the resurrection that fuels our faith in 1 Corinthians 15.
Itinerary.
April 25 House of Prayer, Greenwood, Delaware. Pastor Robert Muncy, N.E overseer of Elim Churches. Staying with Ed and Jackie.
May 2 Cornerstone Community Churches, Newcastle. Joe and Deb Lahr.
May 8 Southgate Christian Fellowship, N. London. John Rawding.
Checks to Bridge Building Ministry can be sent to 227 N Rolling Oaks Ln, Harper, TX 78631. Your support and prayer is greatly appreciated.
